plz help Choose the point which is a solution to the system of inequalities: y less than or equal to –2x + 3 y < one half x – 4 (4, –6) (–4, 6) (4, 6) (–4, –6)

OpenStudy (ddcamp):

(I would) start by graphing them.

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

No need to graph, you can just test out the choices...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think it is (-4,6) am i correct?

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

Nope :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do i just plug for x

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

Just you try replacing x (in both inequalities) with -4 and y with 6. You'll see the second inequality doesn't check out~

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok thanks i understand now

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

That's good... what's your answer, then?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(4,6)
