What is the y-value of sin(x) when x = -90°? Help please :)

OpenStudy (precal):

I already did this one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the other one was 180 is it the same answer?

OpenStudy (precal):

it is done in the same fashion|dw:1369930647168:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay thanks

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

Except if x=-90 degrees, the diagram should look like this:|dw:1369930734027:dw|

OpenStudy (precal):

I used the even-odd property to determine that sin(-90) is equal to -sin(90)

OpenStudy (precal):

recall (cosine, sine)

OpenStudy (precal):

but I can also, use the even-odd property to get the same solution
