yes I think or guess. Because like if a patents put out someone is gonna wanna make a product that's better so it'll become bigger right?
Exactly! Like in your example, Alexander Graham Bell patented his invention of the telephone, and today, just think of how many companies sell their own phones, trying to make it better [or make it seem better] than the others. But yes, your answer is right! Good Job!!!
