Many different traits in a population describe a population with high diversity partial diversity low diversity no diversity
high diversity
ok
can yo uhelp with another ?
sure

Darwin
_____ is responsible for formulating the theory of evolution. Einstein Darwin Thomson Johnson
i ment : According to Darwin, organisms with traits that are best suited for the environment will not pass those traits on to future generations. die before they are able to mate. pass those traits on to future generations. not be able to have offspring.
pass those traits on to future generations.
Predators are considered a(n) _________ limiting factor. external unimportant abiotic biotic
abiotic
Food chains show genetic relationships past extinctions predator-prey relationships all forms of competition
gah none but hmm
i would go with predator-prey relationships even though food chain is actually ment to show the energy
Which area would you expect to have the highest species diversity? The top of Mt. Everest A rain forest A desert A polluted lake
what about that one? ^^
rain forest lol
Biological diversity includes a habitat. all of the different species living in the world. only the species with genetic variation. only species that asexually reproduce.
didnt see that, lol !
never mind on the last question i asked , i need more help on this one : Due to responses in _________ , living things can change over time. cloning natural disasters changing in their environment fossil evidence
changing in their environment
Give an example of a limiting factor. Describe in detail how this factor limits population growth.
can ya help with that one?
Food -- the population can only grow to the point that the quantity of food that is available can sustain it. Space -- the population can only grow within the constraints that it has. Predation -- the population can only grow to the degree that predation will allow it... in fact, it could be wiped out.
choose one :P
food
what about the the process of natural selection.
uhh the strongest live, if you cant adapt to the environment or to the food chain you die
thanks!!!!!!!!!!
Darwin’s process of natural selection has four components. Variation. Organisms (within populations) exhibit individual variation in appearance and behavior. These variations may involve body size, hair color, facial markings, voice properties, or number of offspring. On the other hand, some traits show little to no variation among individuals—for example, number of eyes in vertebrates. Inheritance. Some traits are consistently passed on from parent to offspring. Such traits are heritable, whereas other traits are strongly influenced by environmental conditions and show weak heritability. High rate of population growth. Most populations have more offspring each year than local resources can support leading to a struggle for resources. Each generation experiences substantial mortality. Differential survival and reproduction. Individuals possessing traits well suited for the struggle for local resources will contribute more offspring to the next generation.
