what is the solution to this inequality ? x^2>100

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

You would take the square root of both sides....this would cancel out the ^2 on the left side \[\sqrt{x^2} > \sqrt{100} \] this will now become x > √100 and what is the square root of 100?
