Solve the Right.Triangle Round decimals to the nearest tenth. http://oi44.tinypic.com/amv4v9.jpg Here is a better version than the diagram I drew

OpenStudy (tyteen4a03):

Hint: You need trigonometry, Pythagorean's theorem and angle sum of triangle for these questions.

OpenStudy (nerdy_3000):

For trigonometry would that be like trig ratios(quite don't understand that)

OpenStudy (tyteen4a03):

Yes, precisely that. sin(x) = opp/hyp, cos(x) = adj/hyp, tan(x) = opp/adj.

OpenStudy (nerdy_3000):

For the first problem should I just find the answer by using sin,cos or tan

OpenStudy (nerdy_3000):

@jdoe0001 hey you were right and can you check the diagram because I finally fixed it so... then I realized you were right in the first place

OpenStudy (tyteen4a03):

For angles, you use sin, cosine and tangent (and their inverse functions). You will need a calculator for this.

OpenStudy (nerdy_3000):

So for the first one you can do Pythagorean Theorem?? then sin,cos or tangent then find the angle sum of a triangle

OpenStudy (tyteen4a03):

Not sure what you're talking about. For length of lines you use Pythagorean's Theorem. For angles, you use the trig functions (and their inverses).
