Find the period of the function. y = -3 cos x Would the period be 3, or is it always 2pi because it's cos?

OpenStudy (p0sitr0n):

2pi

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

the number in front of the cos is the amplitude The period of cos is 2Pi, unless there is something in front of the x

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

2pi would be correct (but not ALWAYS 2pi)

OpenStudy (p0sitr0n):

3 is amplitude
