Help? Have to turn it in tonight! I'm stuck! See next attachment. @whpalmer4
that file isn't opening for me.
ok let me try another
Nope. You're going to have to retype the problems or something.
I am going to another computer and try
almost done
nothing is working : ( old computers. I will type out one and see if you see any errors ok?
For cylinder Nickel circ=66.568mm area = 33.284 surface = 8.54^2 volume 688.3 cubic units
@whpalmer4
@.Sam.
What exactly is the problem?
I see I don't have area = 33.284 mm or ? is that find for area?
What does the problem ask you to do?
Are you trying to find the volume of a nickel coin?
also that too yes
My two biggest questions are; 1. Did I mark them correctly by either using mm or nothing or cm^2 etc? 2. 12oz can BIG trouble figuring out area, surface area and volume : (
it's really unclear what you are asking me here. Please, state the exact question, and what you want me to do.
finally got my attachment up!
ok maybe I am thinking it's wrong, but it's not : ) When I have the area 33.284 and the circumference of that object is in mm was I suppose to put 33.284mm or just the number?
area is 2 dimensional, right?
basically are all my mm, cm^3, cm^2 etc correct and labeled?
you compute area of a rectangle as length * width, so the units should match. 3 mm * 5 mm = 15 mm^2
did you see my attachment?
ok yes, so it should be mm^2?
no, it hasn't downloaded.
computer hates me
ok but you answered one of my questions. : ) Let me show you my 12oz can one just sec
or perhaps it hates me. just got it to download on my iPad.
Wait! I have surface area for quarter 4.622 sq centimeters and Volume 811.6 cubic meters and circumference and area in mm
Yeah!! :)
I feel like I have it all mixed up on some. I think my rectangular prisms are good and done. But my cylinders are messed up.
okay, this is kind of a mess. for the nickel, you have the right circumference (and unit). The area has no units and the number is wrong. surface area I get a slightly different number (839 mm^2 which corresponds to 8.39 cm^2) but maybe my height is different volume looks okay for the quarter, circumference is ok, area is wrong, surface area looks wrong don't have dimensions for a 12 oz can but volume is okay (you read the label :-)
area is wrong for dime (and no unit), surface area is wrong (and wrong unit), volume is okay for penny, area is wrong, surface area is wrong and wrong unit, volume is approximately right but has wrong unit
ohh ok I need to work on these. I need help : (
I understand NO units for area are needed to put down right?
I have to go to the store with my mom I will be right back if your back? : ( I have to turn this in tonight.
I won't close this yet, but I need to delete my school work so no one copies. or if anyone can help asap? That 's here? @eSpeX @smokeydabear @amistre64 @whpalmer4
why would you think area doesn't require units?
sorry I thought you meant don't put units but you meant there are NO units showing for each area.
Looks like I have to recalculate my stuff asap. How are my rectangular prisms measurements? On the bottom? @whpalmer4
