The surface area of a rectangular prism is 250 cm 2. If its height is 10 meters, and its width is 5 meters, what is its volume?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[A = 250cm ^{2}\] Surface area of a rectangular prism. \[A = 2(wh + lw +lh)\] w = 5m Or 500cm h = 10m or 1000cm so.. \[250cm ^{2} = 2(500*1000 + l(500) + l(1000))\] Solve for "l" Once you have "l", use the volume equation of a rectangular prism. \[V=lwh\]
