How do you find the arc length? Explain the two methods

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have one method, but not the other. The one I have is: "Length=diameter x 3.14 x angle/360

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\int\limits_{a}^{?} \sqrt{1+f '(x)^2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't understand

geerky42 (geerky42):

You mean the arc length of circle? Not just curve?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, of a circle

geerky42 (geerky42):

Length = Radius × Angle Is this what you are looking for? @KaileeBrowning

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, thanks.

geerky42 (geerky42):

You're welcome. :)
