HELP ME PLEASE! :( A hummingbird's eyeball has a diameter of about 0.6 cm. A human eyeball has a diameter of approximately 2.5 cm. How many times as great is the volume of a human eyeball as the volume of a hummingbird's eyeball

OpenStudy (anonymous):

volume of a sphere \[V= \frac{4}{3} \pi r^3\]

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Find the ratio of the radius of the human eyeball to the hummingbird eyeball and cube it. That will be the ratio of the volumes. Divide the top by the bottom. That will give you how many times bigger the human eyeball is.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do you find the ratio of the radius ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and i tried that formula, but the answer didn't match the options that it was giving..

OpenStudy (mertsj):

What is the radius of the human eyeball?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0.6?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Read the problem carefully. Note that radius = 1/2 diameter
