factor completely 2x^2 -2x - 12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2(x^2-x-6) 2(x-3)(x+2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, the closest thing to that is 2(x - 2)(x + 3)

geerky42 (geerky42):

If you expand 2(x - 2)(x + 3), you'd get 2x² + 2x - 12 So it's actually 2(x + 2)(x - 3)

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

\[2(x^2-x-6)\]\[2(x-3)(x+2)\]

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

Gawsh darnit, lol.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok then. I'm closing it
