As a project for a psychology course, a student correlated weight and intelligence scores for 250 students. The computed correlation coefficient was .00. What did the scatterplot look like?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If the correlation coefficient was .00 it means that there was no correlation. It means that weight and intelligence had absolutely nothing to do with one another. Take a look at this picture. Look at the graph where P=0. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/8/86/Correlation_coefficient.gif/400px-Correlation_coefficient.gif When the correlation coefficient is .00, we can see that the points (dots) are just randomly scattered on the graph.

You are correct :) the points on the Bragg will be randomly scattered :) Good job
