how would I solve #2 and #3 in this picture? I don't quite understand. I figured out #1

Alright! SO let's talk about #2, what is the current in the 1.5 Ohm resistor....well look at the diagram and try to envision the path the current will go.... it will leave the positive side of the battery, and all of the current will travel through the first 5 ohm resistor on the top, where it reaches that first junction, some of the current will continue traveling to the right, and some will travel south, however by the time these two paths meet up at the bottom junction, the currents will combine again and pass through the 1.5 Ohm resistor. What you can take from these facts is that the Total current passes through that resistor, so if you take into account the total voltage in the circuit and the total resisitance you would be able to find it!
