OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

4^x - 4 = x^x

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

I only know Newton's method, is there some other non step method for this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4^x-4=x^x -x^x from that side, -x^x-4^x=0 -4^x -x^x=-4^x is what i got

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

we are solving for x

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

and you forgot about the 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I figured i was wrong lol, i figured id give it a shot :)

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

4^x - 4 = x^x subtract x^x and we have 4^x - 4 - x^x not -x^x - 4^x
