When using substitution to solve the system below, which expression can be substituted into the second equation for y? 4x + y = 3 and 2x + 3y = 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[y=3-4x\]

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Well since they want to substitute INTO the second equation...you should solve the first equation for 'y'

Bye have to go sorry, dad going crazy. Guess I'll fail.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[2x+3(3-4x)=4\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-5y=-5 so y=1,x=1/2
