what is the probability of finding position of electron in an orbit.

OpenStudy (kenljw):

The probability, statistical, distribution of a electron in a specific orbital is given by Schodinger's equation usually introduced in Quantum Mechanics which as an EE in my era didn't take. I was introduce to it somewhat in Chemistry, but generally just used the results. It' with this equation one actually come to understand the tunneling effect in tunnel diodes. It basically depends on what area of EE one get into, micro of macro aspects, that determines the length and breath of Education is required.
