1000^3 = 1,000,000,000 Way too big. 100^3 = 1,000,000 Much closer 120^3 = 1,728,000 Much closer 130^3 = 2,197,000 Over shot. 125^3 = 1,953,125 Whoops! Tripped over it. Didn't much like that method. Much prefer: 1953125 = 5*390625 = (5^2)*78125 = (5^3)*15625 = (5^4)*3125 = (5^5)*625 = 5^9 Prime Factorization. The cube root of 5^9 is immediate, 5^3 = 125
