What was the impact of protests against the Vietnam War?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The protests helped convince many Americans that the Vietnam War was an immoral war, it was a war that the US should not be in. Espcailly after the Kent State Massacre, where 4 students were shot and killed because of protest against the civil war. The Vietnam War also drained funds for Johnson's Great Society programs.
