write an equation in slope intercept form for the line that passes through (3,7) and (7,4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First work out the gradient of the lane by doing difference in y / difference in x -4/3 The equation of the line is y = mx + c where m is the gradient (slope). To work out c pick any of the two points and plug them into the equation.

First, find the slope, just as @Bad2zBone said. To find the slope, you have \(\large m = \frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}\) where "m" is your slope.
