Does the line 4y + 3x = -8 pass through the point (3, 2)

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

You would take your point (3 , 2) (x , y) and plug those points into your equation, and see if it works ...so 4y + 3x = -8 4(2) + 3(3) = -8 is this true?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im guessing no since i plugged in the x and y values as you did. it did not give me -8

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Then 'no' would be the correct answer :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

haha, thanks again

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

no problem lol :)
