Does the graph of the straight line with slope of -3 and yintercept of -4 pass through the point (-2, 2)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you take the slope intercept form of the line then plug in the coordinate point(-2,2) does the equation make sense

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=mx+b ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes that is slope intercept form m is the slope b is the y intercept

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y= -3x + -4 so, 2= -3(2) + -4 2=-6+-4 the answer is actually 10 so it is no, correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x is -2 not 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah so it would be a yes, it does cross through the points..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes because 2=2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats a new one hahah
