Divide by -2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but i thought you would have 2 take 0.5 and times it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i mean -0.5 because if you take -0.5 x 16 you get -8 then if i keep doin that it adds out?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

16 divided by -2 = -8, -8 divided by -2 = 4, 4 divided by -2 = -2, and so forth.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is a geometric sequence mutiply by T2/T1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i get it thanks

Multiplying by -0.5 and dividing by -2 are the same. Think of 4 divided by 1/2. Wouldn't that be the same as 4 X 2, the inverse?
