Can someone please check my answer? How are physical and chemical changes similar? Neither can change the number of atoms of each element that are present. Neither can cause chemical bonds to break. Neither can result in a phase change. <------- Neither can cause a substance to give off heat or light.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can't chemical changes cause chemical bonds to break?

OpenStudy (sillybutt100):

Yes but physical changes can't

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh is this an mcq question?

OpenStudy (sillybutt100):

What is mcg?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multiple choice question, i'm wondering because there are 4 answers there and you put your arrow on the third one as if to select it

OpenStudy (sillybutt100):

Yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

physical changes may involve changing of physical properties, for example melting. so the answer is not the 3rd choice

OpenStudy (sillybutt100):

My second choice is the 4th choice

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Exothermic reactions give off heat, so some chemical reactions may give off heat.

OpenStudy (sillybutt100):

Then is it the first one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeap

OpenStudy (sillybutt100):

Thank you!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):
