even tho the picture is not "to scale" the given information states its a cube so the missing measurements are 5 and 2 in order to determine the edge of the cross section

since 5+2 = 7, the longest the side could be is 7, so the cross section is 9 by "at most" 7, so it wont be a square, but will be a rectangle
