for an image to become larger the scale factor should be a whole number more than 1. If the scale factor is a fraction then the image becomes smaller. If the scale factor = 1 then the image remains the same

Sorry for the first the scale factor should be more than 1 that is all, it need not be just a whole number , it can be 4.5 for example but it is more than 1
