What is the 35th term of the arithmetic sequence where a1 = 13 and a17 = –83? –200 –197 –194 –191

OpenStudy (rajee_sam):

nth term in an arithmetic sequence is given by the formula \[a _{n} = a _{1} +(n-1) d\] n is the number of the term , a1 is the first term and d is the common difference. you have to use the a1 and a17 to find the common difference. Then use a1 and common difference to find a35.
