Solve by the elimination method. 2x – 5y = 1 3x – 4y = -2

OpenStudy (kropot72):

2x - 5y = 1 ..............(1) 3x - 4y = -2 ............(2) To solve for x, we first need to make the coefficients of y the same in equations (1) and (2). This can be done by multiplying both sides of equation (1) by 4 and then multiplying both sides of equation (2) by 5. Can you do that?
