B mostly because of Pearl harbor consitering that the war with japan was pretty much only faught between the US and Japan.

@redred413 Pearl Harbor was a major attack on US soil but please do not get the confused with were the US put focus on after joining the war. It was North Africa were Italy was in control. The US knew if they could get Italy out of North Africa they could then focus on Italy. Once Italy was conquered the US and their allies could move into Germany. Germany was a bigger threat to the US and the world. D is the best and only answer for this problem

all true but with the UK and USSR right at germanys door step it would only really help some brithish and mostly american force get into germany. which you are right they did focus a larg amount there. but the US also was trying to help China from Japan.
