Chargaff's rule stated that DNA from any cell of all organisms should have a 1:1 ratio of pyrimidine and purine bases and that adennine is to thymine while guanine is to cytosine.

transcribe is to copy...to copy something onto something or whatever...

yes. it the mRNA is transcribed into a protein. For instance, if you speak english but you need someone to translate for you instructions on how to rob a bank, WHICH was given to you by your boss. you must ask someone to translate for you.

Well, in molecular terms, that translator is called a ribosome. Ribosome "translates" the english instructions that mr. big boss gave to you to the chinese man that you asked to rob a bank.
