What is the unit rate for 840 feet in 40 seconds?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

The unit rate will be something like 10 ft per second 10 ft per second = 10 feet in one second so what you need to do is divide both numbers by 40 to make the "40 seconds" turn into "1 second"

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

btw the answer isn't 10 ft per second, that's just an example of what the answer will look like
