Cross multiply

4 ( 10 + x ) = 9 * 10 = 90

40 + 4x = 90

4x = 50

x = 50/4 = 12.5

Ok this a right triangle that is a special kind. It is called a 30-60-90 triangle. Because its angles are 30,60 and 90. There is a relationship between the lengths of the sides of the triangle.
