how would you say, "is there anyone here.." or "does anyone here" in french?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Best way to find out is google translate thts wat i use..wat french are u takin??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

We would say, "y at-il quelqu'un ici?" Also, technically, "does anyone here" is not correct, unless you are asking if anyone "hears" as in, if they have the ability to hear sounds. Also, you must end any question with a question mark.

@Sofnu do u take french??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I used to speak it fluently, but I have forgotten quite a bit of it. I am taking up French classes next year, so hopefully I'll be able to speak it fluently again. :)

Yes, French is definitely difficult (especially pronunciation), but it is a beautiful language. Congrats on taking it up, and good luck in your classes! Or, as we would say in French, félicitations et bonne chance! :)
