Is this answer correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

--->11.25 2a*2a=5 a=+ou-(5/4)^(1/2) 3a*3a=11.25

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes it is correct.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But you didn't have to do the a^2 because you could have used the area of each square.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Daniel, você é de São Paulo cara? Mundo pequeno... Vlw abraço!!!

OpenStudy (amistre64):

if you are trying to determine the areas .... let the area of one little square be defined as: 4a = 5, then a = 5/4 there are 9 little a's in the bottom one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Daniel,sou de Goiânia. Quanto a área, foi isso mesmo que fiz.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

hence 9*5/4 = 11.25

OpenStudy (anonymous):

9*5/4=11.25... yes is is more intuitive... thank you amistre64... again!
