Define taiga and give any other names of this type of biome.

I can define it, the biome part is what's confusing me.

Taiga- The swampy coniferous forest of high northern latitudes, esp. that between the tundra and steppes of Siberia and North America.

Here's the definition of biome:
"biomes or land biomes - e.g. tundra, taiga, grasslands, savannas, deserts, tropical forests, etc."
A biome is basically describing the land. Like say if you go to Arizona, you would say the biome here is mostly made up of desert regions. lol, does that make sense?
