well for starters, all the angles need to add up to 180 degrees and one angle (2x) will be twice as much at the other one (x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x+47

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=47 my bad

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

\[180 = 2x+x+39\]because the sum of the interior angles of a triangle always is 180 degrees.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wow @whpalmer4, ive never set up the problem that way before. thanks:)

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

Come on by tomorrow night, we'll be doing something similar with squares and rectangles :-)
