All of the following is true about dialogue EXCEPT: It allows the reader to learn about the characters’ past It allows the reader to hear what characters feel and think It does not reveal much about the characters It is used to give the reader an idea of the characters’ personalities
@.Sam.
OK, let's go through this :) Try to feel it out based on your experience with reading dialogue.
First: do you think dialogue can help the reader to learn about a character's past?
no
Hmm. I think it sometimes does.
For instance, what if a character said, "When I was four, my parents got divorced" to another character. Now you know something about their past.
My opinion i think the answer is the 3 one
but i am not sure
I agree. I think that the only time when dialogue doesn't reveal a lot is when the writer isn't very good ;)
ok i just got 100% on my test thx
And you did it all by yourself, too. You just have to trust your instincts sometimes! :)
But, do make sure you don't just look for answers on a test. That would be cheating.
