Could Someone help me through the steps of this project? It may take a little, so I need someone really dedicated in helping me! So far I have number one down, but I would like guidance beyond that. 1. Measure and record the diameter and height of the cylindrical object you have chosen in inches. Round to the nearest whole number. Diameter: 2 Height: 5 The next step is: 2. Apply the formula of a right circular cylinder (V = pir2h) to find the volume of the object. (Note: Be sure to find the radius from the diameter measurement by dividing by 2.) Help?
i'm sry, I would help u but i'm in the middle of a hard test! Are u good at algerbra and if so could u help me here?
I'm not that great at algebra, that's why I'm asking for help, I apologize.
oh gottya!
For those who are going to look at this and help me, I found the radius which was one and plugged it into the equation and got 31.5 as my answer. I think that's correct, so I'm going to move onto the next step and put it here, since I'll need help for that as well..
that sounds about right
Rewrite the formula using the variable x for the radius. Substitute the value of the volume found in step 2 for V and express the height of the object in terms of x plus or minus a constant. For example, if the height measurement is 4 inches longer than the radius, then the expression for the height will be (x + 4). Here's the next step for anyone who could help me..
Oh, I got it! It would be x + 4. So, I'll move onto the next step. The next step is--- 4. Simplify the equation and write it in standard form. Multiply each term in the equation by 100 to eliminate any decimals, if necessary. This is where I'll really need help..
Can anyone help me?
