i am to write a focus question on a part of psychology i have interest in studying i would love to know is the brain the cause of the mental condition of bad behavior.

It would be easier to find an answer to your question if you were more specific about what type of bad behavior you want to examine. For instance, it is not a mental condition that causes you not to take out the trash when your mother asks you to. However, it may be a mental condition that causes the bad behavior of abusing drugs/alcohol. 

I may also recommend rephrasing the question as "Is the brain responsible for ________" (fill in the blank with the bad behavior you want to examine)
