Simplify the rational expression. State any excluded values. http://s1255.photobucket.com/user/zigzagoon20001/media/Question3_zps345e6968.png.html

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you have any clue of what to do first?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Absolutely none, I'm sorry.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problem, okay try to simplify do you know what that means?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or factor

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay ill make this more specific try to factor x^2-36

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To factor x^2-36=(x-6)(x+6) and to simplify the original problem is -x-6/7x but I was only able to do that because of a program online.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you want to learn how to do it normall or do you just want me to check your answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm going to be honest with you, this Algegra course I'm on is the last course I have on my online High School Diploma course. This exam I'm on is the last one for the whole course! And I mean I may be a lot better at everything else and not cheat and whatnot but math is just not my thing. I don't know anything about it and I am 100% sure that I do NOT need it for my career choice. If you know how to do this, and you are 100% sure that you give me the correct answer, please, please, please help me! This is the last obstacle I have before receiving me High School Diploma. Please, help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

my*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so first of all the answer should be c.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are you positive?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

positive

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you so much! On the off-chance that I should fail this exam and need further assistance, would you be willing to help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you so much! On the off-chance that I should fail this exam and need further assistance, would you be willing to help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im glad to help,

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, I have one more actually if you would be willing to help. See I have all the exams for the course and most of the second attempts that they give you and on this particular exam I have an 85 and a few wrong. My overall grade for the course is 62 right now. So if I get an 100 on this exam that should boost my overall grade to 65 and pass the whole thing. So I'm thinking if you were to help me with one more, that will increase my chances.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no prob whats the problem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright one second, I gotta take a screenshot of the question and all that..one sec..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, here it is: http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/hh639/zigzagoon20001/Q6_zps9eb377f2.png Obviously the answer isn't A haha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay without even doing the problem I knew the answer just from what q cant equal. the denominator can never be 0 so q can never be -2 because then the denominator would be 0. so d is the answer but just to make sure I did the problem anyway and it is d

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright, thank you so much! I really, really appreciate it. Hopefully the second attempt to this exam is 100% the same as the first which they usually are, and I pass the whole course. Thanks a bunch!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

One more, and that it all, I promise. If I get this next question right, and of course the other ones you helped me I will get an 100

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol I have no problem with helping you :D its okay to ask me what is it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/hh639/zigzagoon20001/Q13_zpscf4c5d2b.png Here ya go (: Thank you again lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm something seems wrong with that, check th picture is that exactly whtas on your page?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like is it supposed to be -6x-9x or is it supposed to be -6x^2 -9x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay im pretty sure there is an error but I get a reminder of -51 but Im not sure if the answer is a or b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, well we'll see I'm going to submit the answer as A and submit the exam in like 5 minutes. Hopefully I pass and get everything right, wish me luck!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

luck! tell me how you do!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well that last one wasn't -51 and it didn't raise my grade high enough but I have two others with just a few questions that were wrong and I can take it again, if you'd be willing to help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay here it is: http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/hh639/zigzagoon20001/Q20_zps96bfe0b4.png

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Obviously B was wrong haha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k one sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

d u take one area and subtract other

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, I just tried to redo that exam, and it kinda shuffled the questions and replaced some with new ones, if you'd be willing to help me on at least 10? That would be great, but if you don't want to it's alright, but it would really be great though hahaa :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I can try my best

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you so much again..lol..um here's the first: http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/hh639/zigzagoon20001/Q1_zpseecccc78.png

OpenStudy (anonymous):

kay its A next one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

One second

OpenStudy (anonymous):

take your time

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, most of these next ones will have to be actually typed out because they are teacher graded so here is this next one: "Order 34 x 10^2, 1.2 x 10^7, 8.11 x 10^-3, and 435 from least to greatest."

OpenStudy (anonymous):

easy 8.11 x 10^-3 435 34 x 10^2 1.2 x 10^7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks, please hold for the next one, I may already have the answers for a few of them from the first attempt.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problem, Im pretty much studying for chem anyway

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Cool, and thanks again btw, I would have been absolutely screwed w/o you heh..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Here it is, actually quicker than I thought haha. I remember this one being one of the ones that I got wrong from the first attempt: http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/hh639/zigzagoon20001/Q2_zps6fa3a22a.png

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay surface area of a cube is 6a^2 so 6(4x-5)^2 =96x^2-240x+150 that's a

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and b is volume=a^3 =(4x-5)^3 =64x^3-240x^2+300X-125

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright, I'm gonna go over the next answers and see which ones I don't have the answers to, please hold (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so howd it go did you get a mark?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, here's the next, finally lol: Find the next three terms of the sequence. Then write a rule for the sequence. 648, 216, 72, 24

OpenStudy (anonymous):

8,8/3 or 2.666,and 0.88889 or 8/9. and the rule is take the number and then divide it by 3 to geth the next term. I know theres a special way to write that but I cant remember so try to word it as best as you can. also at my time zone its 10;15 at night and I gotta to leave soon so send me as many questions as you need in the next 15 min before I have to leave and if you don't finish your test before I leave inbox me cause im curious to know how it went! K?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright, and thanks again. And I will definitely tell you how it goes, but I will get the final results once the actual "teacher" grades it, but I will tell you when I get it back (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And that is actually all the questions I have for now though so unless I have to retake the whole course, which may be likely..I will let you know as well. And thanks...like thank you so much...I know I already said it a thousand times, but thanks.....haha thank you (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm glad that I could help, you seem like a really nice person and I like helping people so honestly it was no problem. By the way what grade level was that course. cause that stuff was old for me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and ive been up to calculas and have taken some university math, so if this is a final course I expected it to be super advanced but that was kinda simple like there was no calculas or trig or integration...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah I'm assuming this would have been on the 12th grade level because it was the last course but I don't really know.
