Other than the taiga biome, what type of biome covers the rest of the state of Alaska?
so your saying the taiga biome is part of alaska?
Temperate grassland/desert?
and you want the biome that is the other part of alaska
desert because the arctic is also considered a desert ( a cold one)
It's actually called the Tundra biome :D
but you're right its a cold desert :D
;D

i have a question: when you post images like that you press the attach file button right?
yes
thanks
and consider everything above the taiga belt a tundra area. For alaska, the west coast is also tundra
So, the tundra biome would be the answer?
yea, you can see that when you look at your map. the center-east part of alaska is taiga/boreal and the rest is colored cyan (which is tundra in the legend)
thomaster, you're very smart. My new best friend as well. \(\Huge\color{purple}{\ddot\smile }\)
haha thanks :) by the way you have a lot of questions about biomes xD
I know lol all apart of Alaska also cx
Next I have to explain the climate in the northern part of taiga, and the climate in the southern part of taiga.
That would probably be a mix between tundra and taiga in the north and a mix of taiga and temperate grassland/forest in the south. In the north it would be colder less trees. These trees are mostly gymnosperms (trees with needles). In the south of a taiga region it would most likely be a little warmer. Also you would find more angiosperms (trees with leaves).
I swear you're a genius..
You deserve another medal.
@help123please. give him a medal
Thom sounded like an encyclopedia.
haha i know a LOT about biology xD
It seems so.
Thanks thom! :D
