Given BRAIN~POWEQ calculate the value of x, y and z? http://roads.advancedacademics.com/contentserver/content/roadssection/279521/questions/assessments/s-similarpolygonsquiz/geometry_6.3_final_quiz_9q2.gif

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Hints: 10/4 = 12.5/(2x+1) solve for x --------------- (y+5)/4.5 = 10/4 solve for y --------------- 17.5/(14z) = 10/4 solve for z

OpenStudy (anonymous):

where did you get 10 & 12.5?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hello?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

they are part of the quadrilaterals

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

BN = 10

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

AI = 12.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im sorry i was looking at the wrong question!>.<

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you explain it to me more?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

which part are you stuck on

OpenStudy (anonymous):

where i have to solve for x,y, & z, like what you gave me right now

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

well for instance, to solve for x you do... 10/4 = 12.5/(2x+1) 10(2x+1) = 4*12.5 20x+10 = 50 20x = 50-10 20x = 40 x = 40/20 x = 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh i see, thank you so much

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
