How did the Hagia Sophia combine both Greek and Roman architectural elements?

the Hagia Sophia was built under Justinian the first and he ordered many roman style corinthian columns and greek style hellenistic columns imported from Lebanon to support the structure. The famous dome of course was built in the Ottoman style seen on many Islamic architecture today.
