People have been cured of syphilis (penicillin and azithromycin are common treatments).  Gonorrhea and chlamydia are also curable in most cases with antibiotics.  Unfortunately, there is no way at present to eradicate the herpes virus once it has gained a foothold in your body, though it can be treated to reduce the symptoms and viral shedding.
