What is the range of f(x)=(x+4)^2+7? Can you show me how to get the answer?

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

what is the range of x^2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the range is the possible values that f(x) can take. graphing it is one way of understanding it. you can also plug in strategic values of x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you have a mental picture of what the graph should look like, in other words do you know what x^2 graphs?

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

think about x^2 that has range [0,infinty) (x+a)^2 only moves it left and right thus same range (x+a)^2+b moves it up b or down b (depending on b) so (x+a)^2+b has range [b,infinity)
