Essay on pace and flow of My Antonia Discuss the narration in My Ántonia and how the use of both Jim's young voice and Jim's older voice changes the pace and flow of the novel for a reader. I am almost up to the second book. So far, I haven't noticed Jim change his voice. Are they referring to the way Jim speaks as a child and they way he speaks as an adult? Or does Jim talk in an older voice at some point in the story?
