if 32% of the group voted to change its bylaws and 38% voted against the change, how many people did not vote? the group has 1,120 members

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So just to note. 1120 members 32% voted for the change 38% voted against the change number of people that didn't vote? 1120= 100% And if 32 voted for and 38 against, then the percentage of the people that didn't vote would be 100-(32+38) so that would be 100-70=30% So we know that 30% didn't vote. And to find the number of people, then we find 30% of the total number of people 30% x 1120 0.3 x1120=336 So 336 people didn't vote Hope this helped
