Solve the equation: (3x-6)=15? A. {-3, 7} B. {-3, 9} C. {3, 7} D. {3, 9}

OpenStudy (hlambach):

x can only equal one thing, so why are there two answers? 3x-6 = 15 Now, add six to each side. 3x = 21 Now divide each side by 3 x = 7 Now I don't know why there are two answers.

OpenStudy (xanthe):

lol yea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is how the my work is

OpenStudy (hlambach):

Is there ANY thing else? Graph or whatever?
