How would I do this problem? Find AB.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (espex):

Given that AD appears tangent, I would suggest the tangent theorem, \(AD^{2}=AB^{2}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So AD squared is 196, then what do I do?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

BC is 6 so AB will be 190 but that doesn't make sense

OpenStudy (espex):

Not subtract, gawd I am not awake today.

OpenStudy (espex):

\(AD^{2}=AB*BC\)

OpenStudy (espex):

You would divide it. My bad, I apologize for the confusion.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it is 32.7?

OpenStudy (espex):

Yes.

OpenStudy (espex):

Nice work, and again, I am sorry for the confusion. Guess I better grab another cup of coffee and focus. :)
