A bag contains tiles with the letters P-R-O-B-A-B-I-L-I-T-Y. Tyler chooses a tile without looking and doesn't replace it. He chooses a second tile without looking. What is the probability that he will choose the letter I both times.

Answer Choices: A. 1/55 B. 2/55 C. 2/121 D. 3/121

The probability would be the product of the probability for each draw. So, for the first draw, there are 11 tiles and 2 are the letter I. What is this probability. For the second draw, assume he drew an I on the first one...now there are 10 tiles and 1 is the letter I. What is this probability? Take those two probabilities and multiply them together.

basically, none of the answers match

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope...one of the answers matches.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the answer is 1/55?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

outstanding! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):
